Whale Watching Season Imminent

With autumn drawing to a close and winter almost upon us, there is one thing we can look forward to; the start of whale watching season.

The 1st of June officially marks the start of whale watching season on our coastline, the Indian Ocean playing host to the Humpback Whales' annual migration north, to tropical waters, for calving. They can be spotted off our coastline from mid-May to mid-December.

Advantage Cruiser, based in St Lucia, is a legal permit holder in both St Lucia and Durban, taking guests out on the seas, getting up close and personal with these amazing creatures since the inception of whale watching in South Africa in 1998. Since last year also Ocean Experience/Heritage Tours and Safaris is operating as a legal permit holder in St. Lucia. Time and again whale watchers have witnessed, up close, the beauty of the Humpback Whale and all its antics as it undertakes its annual migration.

Visit www.advantagetours.co.za to find out more information on whale watching trips in both St Lucia and Durban, or http://www.heritagetoursandsafaris.com/ocean-experience/ for whale watching trips in St Lucia.
