Welcome!

We thought it was time for St. Lucians and other stakeholders to come, work and move forward together. But in order to do that, we all need to know what is actually happening in St. Lucia. So we are here to provide a service to the St. Lucia community, by providing up to date, relevant and objective news and information about St. Lucia Estuary, South Africa.

If anything happens in St. Lucia , many stories start to go around. We hope, through professional journalism, to separate fact from fiction, to bring you the objective truth without choosing sides. That is what journalism is all about. If you've heard anything and want to know what really happened, send us an email (TamlynHead@gmail.com) and we'll investigate what's actually going on, and provide our findings in an objective manner on this site. Make sure you subscribe to this blog by leaving your email address on the right of this page, so whenever a new news item is published, you get to know about it.

As an additional service, we offer a business directory, an agenda of activities organised in St. Lucia, as well as an up to date listing of employment and housing opportunities.

In other words, if you wanna know what's really happening in St. Lucia, this is the place to look at!

Rhino Card Holders' Entry into Isimangaliso Wetland Park

There are rumours circulating the streets of St Lucia of the possibility of Isimangaliso putting a stop to Rhino Card holders gaining discounted entry into the Isimangaliso Wetland Park.

Earlier this month I contacted Isimangaliso who chose not to respond to, or provide clarification on, this subject, even after I gave them access to this publication in order to satisfy their request. After giving them some time to respond, I have contacted KZN Wildlife's Rhino Club in an attempt to gain further information. I await their response.

Further to this point, I would like to propose that, should these changes take place, all members of the St Lucia Community be granted free access into the Isimangaliso Wetland Park. This was another of my questions to Isimangaliso to which they chose not to respond. After all, we too are a community bordering the Eastern Shores Game Reserve and living within the World Heritage Site. Please email me on tamlynhead@gmail.com if you are in support of this proposition should Rhino Card holders be asked to pay full entry into the Isimangaliso Wetland Park.

I encourage all readers to keep an eye on this story as it progresses; all updates will be noted on this site.
