Many St Lucia residents have contacted St Lucia News regarding the KZN Wildlife Rhino Card and the future it holds. St Lucia News contacted the Rhino Club in an attempt to get some answers.
While the Rhino Club appears to no longer have a page of its own on KZN Wildlife's website, the most recent post on the Rhino Club blog (published in November 2012) states that current benefits will expire at the end of March 2013, so make the most of the Rhino Card while you have it.
The Rhino Club department at KZN Wildlife offices, however, could give no answers as to the future of the Rhino Card. All they could offer was that the Rhino Card is not being scrapped, it is merely being redesigned. When asked if the Rhino Card will cease being accepted at iSimangaliso gates, the rumours could not be confirmed nor denied and Rhino Club will not know anything before the end of March.

St Lucia News intends to research the constitutional rights of Ratepayers Associations regarding land falling within the municipal boundaries, as well as the rights of communities living within World Heritage Sites. The latter will have to be done via UNESCO. If any readers have any information regarding the above matters, please let us know.
